France's angry farmers

Farmers protested against the Mercosur agreement and the the way France has so far handled a growing epidemic of lumpy skin disease (French acronym: DNC) in cow herds across the country. Currently, French sanitary protocole demands that the entire herd be slaughtered if a positive case is confirmed.

Despite a heavy police presence, the demonstration happened peacefully, and police even helped move cars out of the way for the farmers' tractors to pass through narrow streets.
