Black sea-scapes

Photo series created on Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast between Varna and the coastal town Balchik. I wanted to explore the subtle friction between the relics of the past of this region, once one of the Eastern Bloc's most popular holiday destinations, and its modern-day reality between tourism, abandoned spaces and efforts to reinvent itself.
