Lyon protests against the French budget

French workers' unions called for nationwide protests and strikes on 18 September in response to the country's budget cuts. In Lyon, the unions, among which the CGT, arrived at place Bellecour for the end of the protest. The end of the event was mostly peaceful after some earlier clashes.
